Russell was born in NY, grew up in North Jersey. He was always into athletics, playing multiple sports throughout high school and earning Athlete of the Year during his senior yearr in high school before leaving for Bucknell University. In college, Russell was a Division 1 Wrestler, Varsity Rugby player, and even did one season cheerleading for the football team. After graduation he went right to work in NYC, and unfortunately was working there during 9/11.
Russell decided to move to Philadelphia right after that and quickly fell in love with the city. Since moving to Philly, he has worked for a start-up and promotional goods company, but he is most proud of opening his own store on Main Street in Manayunk. At Manayunk Greenworks he sold Bamboo Clothing, did consignment with local artists, and offered local bands a place to get exposure during the first Friday events he held every month from 2011 through 2017. He has since worked with special needs adults and in the solar arena, before happily landing at Summit.
Russell came to Summit through Dr. Lenny’s cousin and Godfather, and is very happy to be a part of such a positive business. He looks forward to helping all our patients live happier and healthier lives, and has goals to get back into the Bamboo Clothing on the side and eventually create a music and arts festival for special needs adults in the Philly area that one day can be replicated across the country.
